Is it Bigger than a Bread Box?

My mind was wandering towards the iPhone again this morning. I was thinking about what the size difference will be between the iPhone and my current Treo 680. Fortunately, I found this cool site that allows me to visualize the size of the two next to each other. Sizeasy lets you put in the measurements of any box and lets you compare them to each other. You can even drop in some standard-sized items (credit cards, notebooks, CD case, etc.) for a reference. So, the comparison I came up with shows the iPhone vs. the Treo vs. a deck of cards.

Yep, I still want one, although I hope that this is a kick in seat of Palm's pants to do something really interesting with their Treo line. Although I think this is at worst a few years out, I hope that they're not just tweaking the now-four-year-old Treo design into obsolescence.

I have no idea what this might mean, but of course I have a few guesses. My long-shot thought/wish is that they're going to announce that Bill's back in the band after 10 years. He's been playing with them a lot lately - GA Music Hall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, their cover of "#9 Dream" on iTunes. A guy can hope. Whatever it is, I look forward to chatting about it with Peter when I see Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3 at TT's on Friday.

Update: Well, it wasn't what I thought. They're going to play five days in Dublin in June and July. That's still good news since it gives us an excuse to go to Ireland. I've already bought some tickets.

Steppin' Out

Thanks to my Dad for one of the first batches of pictures that we've gotten. Incidentally, I think that this is the closest our "ring bearer" actually got to the two rings.

And We're Back

Despite the snow, we did it. We're married. These past couple of weeks have been some of the most stressful, most hung-over, most wonderful, and most relaxing (depending on which point in time you caught me) I've ever had. I wouldn't trade them for anything. And since I know that one of my few readers here is my wife (even I haven't set driveblind as my homepage), I really must tell you that I love you so much and we've done it! I can't believe how much work this all was, but it was all worth it, and now we're just going to sit back and enjoy the married life. I think I'm even getting used to this band of metal that's taken grip of a finger on my left hand. I'll try to show off some pictures by the end of the week.

Now, for you Veronica Mars fans, this might not be the best news. Or it might not be bad at all. At least a 4-years-in-the-future plot line could be an easy way to end this ridiculous love-me/hate-me thing with Logan. They can't continue their thing for that long, can they?

Well, after months of planning, lots of decisions, and a bunch of money it's finally here. It's time to get to bed because I'm waking up in 8 hours so that I can get married. It'll be a fun snowy day.
