Firefox 2.0 has just been released by Mozilla this week. This isn't the news that I planned to bring me out of my blogging slump, but I've found some really cool new features in it that might make me finally start to use it instead of Safari at home (I always use Firefox at work).
- When Firefox is closed, either by exiting the application or shutting down the computer (hopefully when it crashes, too), you'll be prompted the next time it's opened whether you want to start off with the same tabs open as when it was closed. I hate losing my tabs when my browser unexpectedly or accidentally closes, so this one feature might make it worth the switch.
- While typing this post into my blogging software, I realized that Firefox now also has a built-in spell checkor. I mean checker.
I also discovered today that "
Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel is a great song. I know this probably isn't a revelation to most, but it's news to me. Listening to it in the car in the morning is a great way to start a day.
p.s. Links that used to open in another browser window now open in a new tab in the same window. I love this browser.
