Happy belated birthday to Drive Blind! About a year ago, on May 16th, 2005 the first post was pushed out into the interweb. I wasn't really sure what I wanted this site to be when I started it, and I can't really say that it's followed my mission statement that I laid out in the beginning, but it sure has been fun. It certainly hasn't become a huge web destination, but I do appreciate knowing that people come by to read what I write here. I want this next year to bring some more regular posting, hopefully some more music for you to hear, and finally do something about that "Photos" link on the left. Truly, one of my favorite milestones with this site was when I finally figured out how to enable comments at the end of last year. I love seeing what others have to say and enjoy the interactive aspect of the blog. I get a lot more out of it when the information on this site goes two ways. It's also resulted in a lot of comment spam, which is a pain to clean up, but I guess it shows that at least somebody is searching around the site (even if it's a web bot).
I think I'm finally coming out at the other end of the condo buying & moving madness, so I'll be back here a bit more regularly. Over the summer I hope to dive a bit deeper into really using my beloved MacBook Pro, see some great music (Radiohead in Boston!), and get my life back into some normal rhythm. Of course, I'll be starting to plan a wedding and setting up the new condo, so I'm sure that whatever nebulous plans I have will fall to pieces.
